What is OrderCatalyst?
OrderCatalyst is a comprehensive web-based e-commerce or online ordering
system that provides businesses (called Suppliers) with an interface through which
they can:
• Process online purchase orders on a 24x7 basis
• Control access to their price lists by only allowing approved customers (called
Buyers) to place orders
• Streamline and standardise their ordering process
• Instantly manage and update product price lists for all their approved Buyers
• Promote or advertise their products or services using targeted demographics
What makes this solution different?
Suppliers and Buyers can control who gets to see their profile or account details and who can transact business with them. In other words, before Buyers and Suppliers
can do business, they need to ‘approve’ each other.
• OrderCatalyst can be used by internal sales personal (employees), as well as external buyers (resellers).
• Orders can only be placed from the secure web interface after a user as logged in. This protects private information and increases general system security.
• Buyer Identity Verification. OrderCatalyst intends to offer a service to help verify the identity of a buyer. This is done using e-mail, telephone, business letterhead, website and credit card checks.
• Black Listing and Rating. The OrderCatalyst system administrators constantly monitor users to ensure that buyers pay on time and suppliers deliver as promised. Bad business acumen can lead to a poor rating or blacklisting.
• OrderCatalyst provides the ability to build an online business community between separate companies that are trading with each other in a similar industry. For example, if you are a construction company that regularly orders bricks from five different suppliers, you can quickly set up links with each supplier and place separate orders with them as needed.
